TIPS BEFORE YOU SET OFF

If you come by car

Don’t forget to bring your snow chains. For peace of mind, we advise you to practice putting the chains on before your departure. Then you will be prepared if you need to fit them during your trip.
If the snowfalls are abundant, snow chains may well be compulsory, with the police obliging you to fit them at the bottom of the valley.
Also, if your car is old, please remember that very cold weather can damage you battery. A battery normally lasts three to four years.
Protect your car from the frost : use a silicon lubricant, spray the key hole directly. For the door seals, vaporise it onto a cloth before applying. Never put warm water on your windscreen ! It could make it shatter. It is better to use a scraper or de-icing spray.
Once you have returned from your holidays, we advise you to wash your car to get rid of the salt. (it is corrosive for the body work).
If you want to park your car in the covered carpark, don’t forget to book a space with the Tourist Office.
